After discussing their needs, we narrowed the selection to two models: the XF-3210 friction brake machine, which we had available with a 2700mm wrapping height, and the Mytho S XF-5213S, also with a 2700mm wrapping height. While both machines met their height requirements, we also provided insight into the benefits of upgrading to a prestretch pallet wrapper for operations exceeding 30 pallets per day.
Demonstrating the Cost Savings of a Prestretch Wrapper
To illustrate the advantages of a prestretch machine, we conducted an onsite demonstration. The customer’s existing friction brake machine used 285 grams of wrap per pallet under its current settings, which did not include bottom wraps. However, we also tested a rental prestretch pallet wrapper they had on-site. Even when wrapping a larger pallet with higher wrap settings, the prestretch machine used only 190 grams of wrap—a 30% reduction in film usage while delivering a more secure and consistent wrap.
