PLASTIC STRAPPING TENSIONER DEMO

In this video we show the PXB1 tensioner been used with 16mm PET strapping and seals. We show how the strapping tensioner is feed through the tensioner and sealed with the seals.

HEAVY DUTY STRAP DEMO

In this demo we show the use of 19mm Heavy duty black strapping with a 19mm heavy duty wire buckle.

  • The strapping is looped through the buckle.
  • The bottom strap placed under the cutter blade an in the rear gripper
  • The top strap is placed through the cutter blade and through the windlass mechanism
  • The strapping is tensioned tight
  • We cut the excess strapping off with the cutter blade on the opposite side.

Our plastic Strapping tensioner is designed for use with PET strapping and Polypropylene strapping, while its usable with composite and woven strapping, because of the sharper teeth required for PET and polypropylene its not recommended.

What Strapping is this tensioner designed to be used with?

This tensioner is designed to be used with PET(Polyester) or PP(Polypropylene) strapping up to 19mm in width.

Do I need other tools with this tensioner?

If you are planning to use buckles you will only need the tensioner. But, if you want to use seals you will also need a crimper/sealer appropriate for strapping.

Is there a limit to how much strapping this tensioner can take up?

Yes. Because the PET/PP strapping tensioner uses a windlass (winding) mechanism it can only take up as much strap that will fit between the windlass and the base of the tool. We recommend you take up as much slack in the strapping by hand first before applying tension.
