The ITI 22 is a lightweight, entry-level battery powered strapping tool designed for businesses looking for a simple and economical way to move away from manual strapping tools. Designed for 13mm and 16mm PP and PET strapping, the ITI 22 combines battery powered tensioning with friction weld sealing in one compact tool, eliminating the need for separate tensioners, sealers and metal seals.

An Entry-Level Battery Strapping Tool

The ITI 22 has been developed as an entry point into battery powered strapping. For businesses currently using a manual tensioner and sealer, moving to the ITI 22 can significantly simplify the strapping process.

Instead of manually tensioning the strap, fitting a metal seal and then operating a separate sealer, the ITI 22 allows the operator to tension and friction weld the strap using a single portable tool.

Its relatively simple operating system also makes it a good option where multiple operators may need to use the same strapping tool throughout the day.

Designed for 13mm & 16mm PP and PET Strapping

The ITI 22 is suitable for use with both polypropylene (PP) and polyester (PET) strapping in 13mm and 16mm widths. This gives businesses flexibility to select a strap based on the load being secured rather than requiring a completely different tool.

PP strapping is generally suited to lighter cartons, boxes and packaged goods where relatively low strap tension is required. PET strapping provides greater strength and retained tension, making it suitable for heavier palletised products and applications where a stronger strap is required.

The ITI 22 is primarily designed as a light-duty tool, making it particularly suitable for businesses that do not require the higher tension capabilities of larger industrial PET strapping tools.

Friction Weld Sealing – No Metal Seals Required

One of the major advantages of moving from manual strapping equipment to the ITI 22 is its friction weld sealing system.

The tool rapidly moves one section of PP or PET strap against the other, generating heat through friction. This softens the surfaces of the plastic strap and forms a strong welded joint once they cool.

There are no separate metal seals required. This reduces consumable costs while also simplifying the strapping process and reducing the number of individual items an operator needs when securing a load.

The ITI 22 has been designed to remain straightforward to operate, including the ability to handle the tool with one hand during normal use. Its compact design makes it particularly useful for repetitive carton, package and pallet strapping applications.

18V Lithium-Ion Battery

The ITI 22 is powered by an 18V 5Ah lithium-ion battery designed to provide a high number of strapping cycles from a single charge.

Battery operation means there are no pneumatic air lines or electrical leads attached to the tool. Operators can move between pallets, cartons and workstations throughout a warehouse or production facility without being restricted to a fixed strapping station.

This portability makes battery powered tools particularly useful in warehouses where products are strapped in several different locations.

Aluminium Base plate

The ITIPack range of battery strapping tools use an aluminum base plates. The base plate is lightweight, making the tool easier to handle, but also increasing its robustness. Most other tools use cast steel as for the base plate which is prone to cracking and more brittle than aluminum.

Twinmotor, Direct drive

The standard range of ITI tools use two independent motors to drive the tensioning and welding of the tool. This design does away with many complexities of the tool and expensive parts such as belt wheels, bevel pinion, planetary gears and increased microswitches from its design.

This reduced complexity reduces the maintence requirments and total cost of ownership of the tool.




LED Screen

The Standard range of ITItools battery strapping tools use a highly reliable LED screen which is simple to use, but also reliable to use in harsher environments.

Tension and welding settings are settable through the LCD screen along with displaying its strapping count for maintenance and error messages.

Manual welding lever

The ItIpack manual welding tool is one feature that makes that tools exceptionally reliable. With its reduced complexity, the tool does not require an extra servo motor to function, reducing the cost to you but also greatly reducing maintenance overtime.

Long life feedwheel
