Polyester Strapping (PET) is a lightweight, high-strength option that is quick and easy to apply, especially when compared to other OH&S strapping methods that require buckles. Its smooth edges also provide an added safety benefit.
PET strapping can be applied manually using a tensioner and sealer, with pneumatic or battery-powered friction weld tools, or through a fully automated strapping machine.

Our Smooth PET is usable by tensioner and sealer and battery powered tensioners, smooth PET offers increased break strength and weld ability over Embossed PET. Smooth PET works on all tools capable of using 16mm x 1mm PET.

This Polyester (PET) strapping is crafted from recycled bottle PET flakes and fortified with additional additives to enhance strength and resistance to splitting. Moreover, it is entirely recyclable.

MANUAL PET STRAPPING DEMO

In this video we show how this PET strapping is used with a manual tensioner and sealer combo. The strapping is tensioned, the seal is applied to the strap, then the seal is sealed. the tensioner then cuts the strapping and is removed form the strapping. 16mm x 0.9mm embossed PET is used in this video.

What type of tools can I use with this strapping?

You will need a strapping machine or a battery powered PET tool capable of taking 16mm strap such as our  XST-260, XST 450 or XST-46. This PET can also be used with a manual tensioner and sealer combo.
