Polycell International Pty Ltd is part of the global Polycell group, one of the largest privately owned producers of bubble wrap and EPE foam in the world, with a scale unmatched by other manufacturers in the market.
The company’s experience in manufacturing air bubble cushioning materials dates back to the early 1970s, when its first factory in Taiwan began supplying the local industry.
In 1992, the company established its Australasian presence, initially
manufacturing in Brisbane. Entry into the Australian market was followed by rapid growth, leading to the opening of a second factory in Sydney in 1995. Enhancing service capabilities and supported continued business growth.
During this period, Polycell also broadened its product range to include a full line of air bubble cushioning, EPE non-cross-linked
foam products, and bubble-style cushioned mailers.
As part of its global expansion strategy, Polycell conducted research into the United States market, particularly California. The findings identified strong opportunities, resulting in the opening of its first U.S. plant in Los Angeles in 1996. In 1999, the company further strengthened its Australian footprint with the opening of a Melbourne facility, establishing a complete presence along the eastern seaboard and their New Zealand manufacturing facility in Auckland was established in 2000.
