Pallet wrapper Training - Quick reference Guide

 

This is our quick reference guide for ATLANTA STRETCH Pallet wrappers, this guide may be adapted for other machines but we cannot be certain of their usage. 

This is not a safe operating procedure; personnel should already be familiar with the safety aspects and risks of the Atlanta pallet wrapping machine.

Loading a roll of film

This is a general procedure.

Carriage-specific operations are described in the relative roll-holder carriage manual.

  • Lower the roll-holder carriage to make it easier to load the roll.
  • turn the main switch ‘
  • open the carriage door if its PRS by pressing the release latches.
  • Gently lower the roll film onto the carriage pin
  • unwrap the film and thread it between the rollers.
  • close the carriage door. And lock the release latches.

 

Starting pallet wrapper

Make sure the power has been turned on at the power point.

 

  • Correctly place the pallet on the turntable.
  • check that there is a roll of film on the roll-holder shaft and check that the film is correctly routed according to the diagram (see plate indicated for the carriage being used.)
  • turn ON the panel using the main switch and press the reset button to enable the machine. **
  • manually draw out the film protruding from the roll-holder carriage and attach it to a corner of the pallet.
  • Select the operating cycle from the control panel.
  • press the START button on the operator terminal. (Touch screen wait for 3rd beep)
  • After wrapping, manually cut the film and fix it to the pallet. (or wait until automatic cutter is complete)
  • the pallet can now be unloaded.

** If the pallet wrapper is still in alarm mode i.e., E16, check that the emergency stop is disengaged, and that the carriage door to the PRS carriage is fully closed.

If the Atlanta pallet wrapper is still in alarm mode, please call MPS (1300 396 835)

 

 

 

General Questions.

  1. What is the blue reset // button used for.

A: The physical blue button is used to enable the machine and ensure that it turns on and verify that the emergency circuit is correctly closed.

  1. Can I use the Emergency Stop all the time.
  2. No, the emergency stop button should only be used for Emergencies!
  3. Can I stop the cycle at any time?
  4. Yes, press the RED stop button, then press the Green Start button to continue the cycle.
  5. When in manual mode, how do I stop the cycle correctly.
  6. When you finish using the manual cycle, press the rotate table So, the table will stop in the homing position.

 

General Troubleshooting

 

Carriage won’t rise when cycle is started.

  • Check that F01 value is “1.”
  • Check that F12 value is “50.”
  • Are the goods black or dark in color?
  • Call your team leader or call MPS if the problem can’t be resolved.

 

E03 appears.

IF the E03 doesn’t go away following the start-up procedure, please call your team leader 1st, then call MELBPACK if E03 continues.

E04 appeared.

An object is under the carriage crush zone, please remove the object. Clear the error by pressing the reset on the HMI panel.

E09 appeared.

With the OPRS and PRS carriages E09 will appear if the stretch film has broken, or the roll is empty. Re-attach film, clear error by pressing reset on the HMI panel, press the green start button to continue cycle.

E16 appears.

Check the Emergency stop button to see that it isn’t engaged. Check the carriage door on the PRS only if it is closed properly. If error still exists pls call MPS  (1300 396 835) 

 

Turntable won’t stop.

If the turntable just keeps turning and won’t stop, please call MPS (1300 396 835)
