Pallet Wrapper Purchasing guide and checklist

 This Guide is part of our machine presale checklist, used to ensure you're looking t purchasing the correct pallet wrapping machine for your application, usage and environment. 

This checklist is to ensure the machine we have quoted is correct for your application and goods, location of the machine and expectations of the machine.

The size of goods AND the pallet – Specific to size of “goods”. Not the “Wooden pallet” – This is because many customers intend to overhang goods, we must know this.

Do goods ever exceed 1200mm x 1200mm or overhang a standard chep/loscam pallet?

 

Extended base or larger turntable may be needed if yes.

 

Pallet per day/ week/yearly on avg

Consider PPS if over 30 per day

 

Are the goods sharp or unusual in shape?

Consider PPS if sharp

 

Are goods stacked to the corner of pallets or are they setback from the pallet corners like 200L drums?

Stronger film maybe required or use of advanced machine with PPS or electromagnetic brake to set tension low on bottom wrap.

 

Are pallets square/rectangle or will smaller mixed cartons etc be ontop?

Maybe issues wrapping goods with over 250mm setback from the previous layer of goods.

 

Do you need multiple wrapping modes for different sized pallets?

 

Consider model above the EVA if yes.

 

What are the colour of the goods the machine sees?

If black or dark, black photo logic sensor maybe required. Poorly lit areas may also need this upgrade.

 

Are you expecting the machine to weigh the goods? Note: scales and ramps are not compatible with eachother.

The machine quote must include “scales” or scale kit for weighing of goods

 

 

 

What is the method of loading?

Environment

Machine required 230v 10amp standard AU plug, machine has a 2m cord. Will it reach your outlet?

 

 

Where is the machine located? Eg, warehouse, outside, awning, cool room, or freezer room or wet environment?
Please note, operation outside, in a cool or freezer room voids warranty on electrics. (Recommended operation temp is above 5deg)

 

Is the machine in a rough environment where operator’s may drive into the turntable?

Please consider installation of forklift or bumper guards.
